HML Wellness Solutions is an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to children and youth in Prince George. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Master of Social Work Psychotherapist to join our team on a contract basis.

Positions Available For The Right Counselor:

Contract Master of Social Work Psychotherapist (Children and Youth)​

 

Position Summary:

The contracted Master of Social Work Psychotherapist will play a crucial role in delivering individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children and youth, including Indigenous children and youth. You will work collaboratively with other professionals within the organization to provide comprehensive care and support. This is a primarily in-person position.

Location: Prince George, British Columbia, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychotherapeutic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children and youth.

  • Facilitate workshops and training programs for parents, caregivers, and community members.

  • Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)

  • 5+ years of experience working with children and youth in a therapeutic setting

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Indigenous children and families is essential

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers

  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Passion for working with children and youth

  • San’Yas Indigenous cultural safety training certification or willingness to obtain it

Compensation:

  • Contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $75.00 to $100.00

Position Summary:

The contracted Master of Social Work Psychotherapist will play a crucial role in delivering individual and couples therapy sessions to a diverse client population, including Indigenous individuals. You will work collaboratively with other professionals within the organization to provide comprehensive care and support. This is a primarily in-person position.

Location: Prince George, British Columbia, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychotherapeutic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide individual and couples therapy sessions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW)

  • 5+ years of experience working with individuals and couples, including diverse populations

  • Experience working with individuals who have a trauma background and with couples

  • 5+ years of experience working with Indigenous individuals is essential

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers

  • Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours

  • Passion for working with individuals and couples

  • San’Yas Indigenous cultural safety training certification or willingness to obtain it

Desired Qualifications:

  • Training/Certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy or the Gottman Method

Compensation:

  • Contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $75.00 to $100.00
